We are saddened to inform all Standard Router customers that the decision has been made to cease manufacturing of CNC Routers and we will close our factory effective July 1, 2005.  We would like to thank every one of our customers for the years of support as we strived to compete in this industry.  It is our belief that we have produced one of the top quality CNC Routers in the business and it is only due to the business climate beyond our control that this decision has been made. We have put in motion a support system for all of our customers.  ATRP is owned by Roy Poland whom most of you are familiar with as our current Technical Support for electrical and mechanical issues.  Starting July 1^st, 2005, ATRP and Mr. Poland will be taking over all mechanical and electrical support for Standard Router including Warranty service.  Roy brings 33 years of technical experience and 24 years of CNC Machine experience including CNC Retrofitting and service for all CNC Machines and not just Routers.  ATRP will continue to stock parts for Standard Router Machines.  In addition to parts and service, ATRP will offer CNC Control, Spindle and axis upgrades. ATRP is pleased to be able to provide service at a reduced rate of $80 per hour for labor and $40 per hour for travel time.

            For software support, you may contact another familiar name.  Tommy Dorgan, our current Applications Support Engineer, will be doing software support for Standard Router customers including any machines still under warranty.  You may contact Tommy at American Precision Routing.  In past years, Standard Router has provided software support for all its customers free of charge, generally for the life of the machine. Unfortunately, American Precision Routing will not be able to do this.  Software support via phone will be charged at a rate of $75 per hour in quarter hour increments. Email support will be charged on a per incident basis using the same rate against the amount of time used to solve the problem. CNC Programming for Standard Router machines will be the same rate.  American Precision Routing will also continue to provide tooling for all of those customers who purchased from Standard Router.  We will continue to be dealers for Onsrud, Whiteside and Amana tooling.
